I had a fantastic stay at the Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok. The ambiance was enchanting, with a good fragrance wafting through the lobby and stunning floral arrangements. Although the hotel is a bit remote from the city center, the really good service and luxurious amenities made it worthwhile. I truly enjoyed my experience, though it comes at a premium price.

The only downside I noticed was a part of the hotel under renovation, but that actually made for a more intimate experience. Overall, I can't recommend it highly enough!

5.2/10

My stay at the Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok was a good experience marked by world-class service and stunning river views, although the breakfast menu could use some enhancements to match the hotel's overall luxury. The charming colonial-style room, set by the riverside, provided comfort and elegance, but I found the size somewhat lacking compared to other luxury hotels in the city. While the hotel's historical charm is evident, there are minor soundproofing issues that could be addressed for a quieter stay.

Rooms

I stayed in the Chao Praya room, which was beautifully appointed with colonial-style decor and offered fantastic views of the river; however, I found the bedroom a bit smaller than expected, and the ceiling height was lower than ideal in some areas.
Service

The service was really good, with staff consistently attentive and courteous, greeting me by name and anticipating my needs throughout my stay, making me feel truly valued as a guest.
Location
9.0
The hotel's riverside location is ideal, allowing for a quick ferry ride to nearby Icon Siam and positioning it away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok's busy streets.
Dining

While the ambiance of the Verandah restaurant is lovely, and the food presentation was superb, I found the breakfast menu a bit underwhelming compared to other luxury hotels, lacking standout options that would impress guests.
Facilities

The facilities are extensive and well-maintained, including the enjoyable spa experience across the river, which required a pleasant boat ride; however, I noticed some slow responses from the porter service during peak times.
